Video is used together with feeding logs, veterinary records, climate readings and direct inspection. Showing animals publicly is acceptable only after the legal and ethical risks have been assessed; working cameras are better kept closed.
Archive and signal monitoring
A cloud archive lets you review the period of feeding, animal movement or work that interests you and compare it with the shift log. Access and the retention period are limited to what the work requires.

Welfare and limitations
Installation must take account of humidity, ammonia, dust, washing down the buildings and the behavior of the animals. Do not use illumination that disturbs the animals, unsafe mountings or cables within reach.
Video does not replace staff, veterinary examination, temperature, humidity and gas sensors, fire alarms or feeding systems. Decisions about health and safety are taken by specializts on the basis of objective data.
A camera shows only a limited field of view and does not confirm the welfare of an animal or that the building services are working properly.

Can the animals be watched at night?
Yes, provided the camera has a suitable night mode and the illumination and mounting position do not disturb the animals. A night-time image is no substitute for staff walking the buildings and inspecting the animals.
Does a camera replace veterinary supervision?
No. Video may draw attention to a visible change in behavior, but an animal's condition is assessed by a specializt during a direct examination and on the basis of objective data.
Can several holdings be brought together?
Yes. Cameras from farms, buildings and remote plots can be gathered in one account and named by site and area.
Why does a farm need a cloud archive?
An archive helps you review the visible sequence of feeding, animal movement or work on the site. The holding decides the retention period and the access rights.
Will the service report a loss of video?
Yes. Monitoring detects that a stream is unavailable and sends a notification, after which staff check the power supply, the connection and the camera on site.
